What are the Advantages of Aba Therapy at Home

Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) is a treatment method that involves the application of the principles of learning theory to teach a variety of skills and socially appropriate behaviours. It is an evidence based treatment method and continues to be the leading therapeutic treatment for children with autism who struggle with barriers in language development, behavioral issues, and social skills. After completing an assessment your BCBA, or Board Certified Behavior Analysts will develop a treatement plan to based on the individual needs of your child with the goal of improving quality of life and independence.
Providing in-home therapy to children with autism within their natural environment facilitates learning language and household skills and decreases undesirable behaviors because therapy is being delivered where the behaviour will normally take place. In-home care also provides better, and more opportunities for parent and caregiver training, thereby allowing them to reinforce the ABA interventions and increase the chances that the child will maintain the desired behavior and the acquisition of new skills.
